Why Black BaBo exists

It all started with my beard

My beard used to be deep black, striking and strong. Then white and grey hairs appeared — uneven and patchy.

  1. The problem

    It didn’t just look more mature. It looked untidy and older — and I no longer felt comfortable with it.

  2. The attempts

    Beard dyes? Chemical and harsh — my skin reacted badly. Beard pens? Made for contours only. Out of sheer frustration I even tried my wife’s mascara.

  3. The discovery

    By chance I came across a product made for women’s hair. The idea was right, but the quality wasn’t good enough for a beard.

  4. The lab

    Together with specialists we spent months developing and reworking the formula until it was clean and straightforward.

  5. Today

    I use it myself every day. It grew out of a real need.

How it works

A fuller beard in four steps

Less than a minute

  1. Dry and clean

    The areas need to be dry and clean before you apply it.

    Moisture reduces adhesion and leads to an uneven result.

  2. Apply in the direction of growth

    Apply the stick directly to grey, white or patchy areas.

  3. Blend with the brush

    Blend gently until the transition looks natural — spot by spot or across the whole area.

  4. Let it dry

    Let it dry briefly. Touch up or build in layers if needed.

    Washes out in the evening with water and shampoo.

After application

After that you have three options

You don’t have to use all three

  1. Wipe off dry

    Gently dab the treated area with a dry cloth.

    Do not rub hard.

  2. Rinse off gently with water

    Rinse the area gently with a little water and then let it dry.

  3. Simply let it dry

    Give the product a moment to set.

    That keeps the result as even and natural as possible.
